Click-fraud protection for Google Ads · by Avakata Agency

The bot already got one click. Don't give it a second.

AvaGotYa watches the traffic your Google Ads send you, flags the junk, and once you switch protection on, keeps repeat offenders from seeing your ads again. The software is free. The fee is 30% of verified savings after Google's own credits, capped at 3% of your ad spend. Saved nothing? You owe nothing.

No card. Blocks nothing for 14 days, just shows you what it would have blocked. Google Ads only at launch. Founding 50 closes Nov 15.

The problem

Some of your ad clicks aren't people. Everyone's numbers agree on that part.

Every seller of click-fraud tools publishes a scary number. We sell one too, so read these as what they are: vendor-reported benchmarks, not your account. They're still the best public data there is, and they all point the same way.

7.57%

of Google Ads clicks were invalid traffic in Lunio's analysis of 2.7 billion paid clicks across six ad platforms (Aug 2024 to Jul 2025).

Lunio, Global Invalid Traffic Report 2026, Jan 2026. Vendor-reported. [S1]
$1 in $18

of paid-click spend went to invalid traffic in the first half of 2026: a 5.58% invalid rate across 4.006 billion paid clicks. Human-mimicking bots were 64.4% of the bot-flagged share, up from 20.4%.

Spider AF / Spider Labs, H1 2026 report, 2 Sep 2026. Vendor-reported. [S2]
51%

of all web traffic in 2024 was automated, the first time in a decade that bots outnumbered humans. "Bad bots" alone were 37%.

Imperva (Thales), 2025 Bad Bot Report, Apr 2025. Vendor-reported. [S3]
Google

Google does filter a lot of this for you, and credits some of it: If Google identifies an interaction as invalid before the end of the billing cycle, you don't pay for it. It also says its filters cannot block traffic from your site because they run after an ad serves. [15]

Benchmarks aren't your account. Your 14-day shadow report is. Go get one.

Loss aversion, the honest kind

Google's clock is already running.

Google says you can submit an invalid traffic investigation request for activity within the last 60 days. [15] That's a rolling window, so every day, a day's worth of clicks ages out of it.

AvaGotYa can only build evidence for clicks it saw. Every day without the tag is a day of clicks you'll never have evidence for. We can't fix yesterday. We can start the file today.

Start the evidence clock →

Evidence isn't a credit. Google decides that, every time.

60day window
How it works

Four steps. The first two cost nothing and touch nothing.

Tag it.

Install with Google Tag Manager in a couple of clicks, or paste one script line. It reads click IDs and behavior signals. It never sends what people type into your forms.

5 minutes

Shadow mode, 14 days.

It blocks nothing. You get a live feed of what it would have blocked, why, and what that traffic cost. Nothing moves past shadow mode until you and Avakata agree it should.

$0 · zero blocks

Protect.

Connect Google Ads: read-only for spend and credits, write access only for exclusion lists, revocable any time. Repeat offenders go on an account-level IP exclusion, which also reaches Performance Max. Every block is logged and reversible.

your call

Settle up.

Each month: wasted spend detected and estimated spend prevented. We subtract Google's own invalid-click credits, and you pay 30% of the Conservative figure, capped at 3% of that month's spend. Every billed event is in a CSV.

≤ 3% of spend

Think of a bouncer who remembers the troublemakers. He can't un-happen the first fight, but he can keep that crew out next time. He gets paid a cut of the damage he can prove he prevented, minus whatever the venue's own security already caught, and his pay has a hard ceiling.

What is AvaGotYa? AvaGotYa is click-fraud protection for Google Ads from Avakata Agency. It installs via Google Tag Manager, runs 14 days in shadow mode, then adds repeat invalid-click sources to account-level IP exclusions. The software is free; the fee is 30% of Conservative verified savings minus Google's invalid-click credits, capped at 3% of monthly ad spend, and $0 if nothing is saved.
Install

Install with Google Tag Manager. You click Publish. That's the whole job.

Once your seat is confirmed, your dashboard has a button that signs you in with Google, lets you pick your container, and adds the AvaGotYa tag for you.

We ask only for permission to edit containers and create a version, in a workspace of its own. We don't publish unless you tick the box. You do. We don't keep your Google access after the install. If you don't have Edit access on the container, we'll tell you who to ask instead of throwing a cryptic error.

Not on GTM? No problem.

One script line (any site). Paste just before </body> on every page, or once in your shared footer. Copy it from your Install page instead of retyping it.

WordPress: free WPCode plugin → Code Snippets → Header & Footer → paste in Footer → Save.

Wix: Settings → Custom Code → + Add Custom Code → All pages, Body - end → Apply (premium plan + connected domain).

Squarespace: Settings → Advanced → Code Injection → Footer → Save.

GTM by hand: import the template from your Install page (Templates → Tag Templates → New → ⋮ → Import), add the tag on All Pages, Publish.

Use the snippet OR GTM, not both. Otherwise every click gets counted twice, and nobody wants a click-fraud tool that commits click fraud.

Estimates use vendor-reported industry benchmarks and the published illustrative model. They aren't a measurement of your account and they aren't a promise of savings. Your 14-day shadow report is the measurement.

Fee = 30% × (Conservative verified savings − Google's invalid-click credits)…never more than 3% of that month's Google Ads spend. If the result is zero or less, the fee is $0.

The one conditionKeep read-only spend visibility connected. We can't verify what we can't see. Without it, events are valued at $0, so your bill goes down, not up.

How "Conservative" works: each blocked event is valued at your campaign's own CPC, never your max bid. Repeat visitors are discounted, each source is capped at 10× CPC per month, and only the high-confidence tier is billed. The formula is published and versioned, and every invoice ships with a line-item CSV.

At modest spend, a flat plan is often cheaper.A $49 to $99 subscription often beats us at low spend, and we'd rather you hear it here than in month four.
Worst case (the 3% cap binds)Our fee can pass a $79 plan from about $2,633/mo in spend and a $99 plan from about $3,300/mo. That only happens in a month when Conservative verified savings are at least 10% of your spend.
Published illustrative modelLegal, Google Search, $9.87 CPC: about 0.69% of spend. More than Fraud Blocker's $79 Standard from ~$11.5k/mo and its $99 Pro from ~$14.4k/mo. Above that line you're buying the method, the ledger and the evidence, not a lower price.

Where we don't win: Google is the only platform we protect at launch. We have no customers or track record yet. And at modest spend in a high-CPC industry, a $49 to $99 flat plan is probably cheaper. Our worst-case fee (3% of spend) is well above any entry subscription.

As far as we can find, none of the pricing pages we reviewed say they subtract Google's own credits before charging you.

Who's behind it

Ryan Walker, Avakata Agency

25+ years in digital marketing and 3,500+ Google Ads accounts managed since 2006. Ex-Google and Microsoft. He built AvaGotYa because he got tired of watching clients pay a subscription for a green "money saved" number that never showed up on the Google invoice.

The honest part: AvaGotYa went live on 2026-09-14 and is starting in shadow mode on its first sites. There are no customer results to show you yet, so we won't pretend. Your shadow report will be the first result that matters to you.

Founding 50

Small on purpose.

Onboarding is hands-on, so we cap it. Ryan personally reviews every founding advertiser's 14-day shadow report before a single IP gets excluded, and there are only so many hours in a week. So there are 50 founding seats, 10 onboarding starts a week, and one close date.

FAQ

The questions you should ask every click-fraud vendor. Here are our answers.

Can you stop a fraudulent click before Google charges me?
No, and nobody can. The click is auctioned and billed before your page loads. AvaGotYa stops the same source from seeing your ads again, and only savings from those future clicks can ever be billed.
Will I get my money back from Google?
Maybe, and it isn't ours to promise. Google filters and credits some invalid clicks itself. You can also request a click investigation within 60 days, and AvaGotYa helps assemble the evidence. Google decides the outcome, issues credits rather than cash, and says it "doesn't analyze or validate third-party data as part of invalid traffic investigations."
What exactly do I pay?
The software is free. The fee is 30% of the Conservative estimate of spend prevented, after subtracting Google's invalid-click credits, and it can't go above 3% of that month's ad spend. No savings, no bill. There's no setup fee, no minimum and no per-traffic charge, and it's month to month.
Isn't "savings" just a made-up number?
Every "saved" figure in this category is an estimate, because the blocked click never happened. The difference is that we publish our formula. Each event is valued at your campaign's own CPC (never the max bid), repeat visitors are discounted, each source is capped at 10× CPC per month, and only the high-confidence tier is billed. Every billed event is exported so you can check it.
What if you block a real customer?
It's the category's most common failure, and the usual cause is shared IPs: offices, VPNs, mobile carriers. That's why we start with 14 days of shadow mode. Once blocking is on, every block is logged and reversible, you can allowlist in one click, and billing on verified savings means over-blocking earns us nothing.
When would a flat subscription be cheaper?
Often, at modest spend, and we'd rather you hear it from us. In the worst case (the 3% cap is hit), the fee can pass a $79 to $99/mo plan from about $2,600 to $3,300/mo in ad spend. In the published illustrative model (legal, Search, $9.87 CPC), the fee is about 0.69% of spend. That's more than Fraud Blocker's $79 plan from about $11.5k/mo spend and more than its $99 Pro plan from about $14.4k/mo. Above that line you're paying for the method, the per-event ledger, the evidence, and a vendor whose revenue falls when your fraud does.
Do you tell me who is attacking me?
No. You get evidence, patterns and a damages estimate for you and your lawyer, but never a named person or company. Naming someone without proof is legally dangerous and usually wrong.
Which ad platforms are covered?
At launch, only Google Ads is protected with automatic exclusions. Other platforms that pass a click ID get detection estimates only, and those are never invoiced. Reddit, Microsoft, LinkedIn and Meta are on the roadmap, with no dates.
Do I have to give you access to my ad account?
To be billed accurately, yes: read-only access to spend and performance data. Write access is optional, limited to exclusion lists and audiences, and revocable. AvaGotYa can't change your campaigns, budgets or bids. Without the connection, events are valued at $0, so your bill goes down, not up.
Has it worked for other businesses?
There are no public customer results yet. It went live on 2026-09-14 and is starting in shadow mode on its first sites. Your 14-day shadow report is the evidence that matters for you.

Fourteen days. Zero blocks. Zero dollars. Then decide with your own data.

Install the tag, let shadow mode watch your real traffic, and read the report. If it finds nothing worth fixing, you've lost five minutes and learned your traffic is clean. Congratulations, that's rarer than you'd think. If it finds something, you'll have the evidence, the exclusions and a bill that can't pass 3% of your spend.
